Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman has been included in the Serie A Team of the Week after an inspired showing in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at AC Milan.
The Nigeria international scored his first goal of the season for the Bergamo club and put on a lively display, completing three successful dribbles, making three key passes and recording an 84 percent pass accuracy.
Lookman was the only Atalanta player included in the week’s best eleven, linking up with Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Cremonese’s Federico Bonazzoli in the forward line.
Other players who have made the Team of the Week include Napoli goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic; defenders Mergim Vojvoda (Como), Federico Gatti (Juventus), and Mario Hermoso (AS Roma); as well as midfielders Nicolo Zaniolo of Udinese, Zambo Anguissa of Napoli, Hakan Calhanoglu of Inter Milan, and Samuele Ricci.
Lookman’s inclusion reveals his increasing importance in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side as he seeks to build on an impressive start to the season.
