Justice Ibrahim Kala of the Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday remanded TikToker Saheed Osama and Uyime Udoekwere at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly making defamatory publications against Mrs. Omowunmi Aloba, wife of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.

The two were arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command’s ‘Delta Attack’ team on a three-count charge that treads the line of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and character assassination.

Police prosecutor Anthony Iyeye told the court that the defendants, along with others who are yet to be apprehended, committed the offenses on July 4 and July 5, 2025, via social media accounts to spread lies about Mrs. Omowunmi. He went on to state that the accused carried placards with the inscriptions as follows: “Wunmi Killed Mohbad! Period! E No Go Better For Wunmi.”

Iyeye stated that the offences were against Sections 27(1)(b)(2) and 24(1)(a)(b)(2) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015. The defendants entered a plea of not guilty to the offences. The prosecutor asked the court to remand the defendants in custody until the trial was determined, while defence counsel, Ademola Olabiyi argued orally for bail under Section 32(3)(5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.

Justice Kala turned down the bail application verbally, directing that a formal application be filed and set before a vacation judge since the court has begun its annual holiday. The case was fixed for September 25 for trial.
