The Big Brother Naija Season 10 house is already buzzing with arguments, heat, and drama due to the introduction of housemates and the first major directive by the Head of House (HoH), Jayson Jay.
The reality show opened on Saturday, the 26th of July 2025, when Lassa Fever survivor Ebuka Obi-Uchendu unveiled the initial group of housemates 15 women who were Zita, Mide, Sultana, Doris, Big Soso, Tracy, Ivatar, Sabrina, GG Jasmine, Thelma, Imisi, Ibifubara, Isabella, Joanna, and Dede.
The male housemates Oghenetega, Kay Bobo, Mensah of Africa, Kulture, Roo Boy, Faith, Victory, Bright Morgan, Koyin, Danboskid, and Jayson Jay were introduced the following day, creating an exciting mix for the tenth season.
Jayson Jay, a performing artiste and alumnus of Lead City University, was the initial HoH. After introductions in the house and bonding, he created new rules concerning kitchen management due to the lack of food. He tasked BB Soso and Oghenetega with kitchen management and rationing food.
I have observed that the kitchen is dirty and some of the food has already been eaten. Big Brother even had to replenish some of them. To avoid wastage, BB Soso and Oghenetega will take care of the kitchen and dictate how food is used,” Jayson declared.
However, the rule ignited rebellion. Imisi and Isabella strongly objected to the rule, and they asserted their right to cook their own food. “I will not accept that. We are not throwing away food, and I will cook what I want. You cannot tell us what to do,” Imisi argued.
The other housemates tried to tone down the tensions, clarifying that the instruction was to maintain discipline and not to infringe on personal freedom of choice. Jayson stuck to his guns, warning that disobedience could lead to Big Brother’s ire.
“This is the decree, and it is still in effect until further notice,” he included, threatening possible strikes for insubordination.
Things are off to a roaring start this season, and viewers can expect more drama as alliances form and friction erupts.
