DSS Arrests Suspect for Cloning Official Website, Issuing Fake Recruitment Notice

The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended Sylvester Victor Augustus, 32, for cloning the agency’s official website and posting a fraudulent recruitment notice. Augustus, a native of Abak Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, was arrested on Thursday at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane, Abak, by DSS operatives.

A security source revealed that Augustus, who claims to be a graduate of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), as well as a blogger and content creator, will soon be arraigned in court. The fake recruitment notice, created to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians, was promptly flagged as fraudulent by the DSS, which issued a public warning to prevent citizens from falling victim to the scheme.
