Elon Musk’s Transgender Daughter Vivian Wilson Says She’s Broke, Living With Roommates Despite Billionaire Dad’s Fortune

Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk‘s estranged transgender daughter, says she’s far from wealthy despite her billionaire father’s fortune.

In an interview with The Cut published Tuesday, the 21-year-old aspiring model revealed she shares an apartment with three roommates in Los Angeles because it’s cheaper.

“People assume I have a lot of money. I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal,” Wilson said.

“My mom is rich, right? But obviously the other one is unimaginably wealthy. I don’t have a desire to be super rich.”

While her father is worth an estimated $413 billion, Wilson says she lives modestly.

“I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter, and some spending money, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles,” she added.

Wilson, the eldest of Musk’s 14 children, cut ties with the Tesla CEO in 2022 after legally changing her name and gender.

Since then, she’s been open about their difficult relationship, once calling him a “pathetic man-child” on social media.

Musk has claimed his daughter was “killed by the woke mind virus” and that he was “tricked” into approving her transition at age 16.

Wilson told The Cut she’s embraced the conflict, even joking that her most typical trait is having “Daddy issues.”

Looking back at her childhood, Wilson admits she grew up with privilege. She attended an elite private high school with celebrity children like Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

She learned multiple languages including Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish, and went to college in both Canada and Japan before dropping out.

She blamed artificial intelligence for killing her motivation to continue.

Despite her family name, Wilson says she never wanted to be a celebrity. But with an agent, a Teen Vogue cover, and a growing modeling career, she admits fame has its perks.

“I fought so hard for so long to be viewed as a regular person. There was a moment right before I became famous where no one knew who I was.

It was amazing. Everyone treated me as a regular person. I kind of miss that. But I also like being famous,” she said.

“I guess I’m kind of indifferent to it. But I like the fact that it makes me money.”
