Olawunmi Aloba, the wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has opened up about the pain and turmoil she has endured since his tragic passing. Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, leaving a deep void in the Nigerian music industry.
Despite ongoing court hearings, police investigations, and public outcry, the exact circumstances of his death remain unclear, and his body is yet to be buried. In a recent interview, Wunmi expressed her grief and anger, particularly toward the nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad before his death.
According to her, the nurse, who is set to face an inquest on March 14, 2025, has shown no remorse for her actions.
“She made me a widow. She’s been living her life like nothing happened. I really don’t know if the injection my husband was given was a mistake,” Wunmi said.
She explained that the nurse was only called in because Mohbad’s personal nurse was unavailable at the time. A close associate had recommended her, not knowing the tragic consequences that would follow. Wunmi also spoke about the impact of Mohbad’s death on their son, Liam, saying he has not had the chance to experience a normal childhood.
“If I see the nurse face to face, the only thing I will tell her is that she will experience everything she has done to me,” she added.
