Nigerian politician and businessman, Ned Nwoko, denied domestic violence claims by his wife, actress Regina Daniels, claiming her recent behavior was caused by drug and alcohol consumption.
In a post published on his Facebook account verified on Sunday, the senator for Delta North chronicled incidents reported to have broken their marriage. He shared video of destruction at their Abuja home, terming Regina’s recent actions as a “rampage.”
“Regina was never like this before. Her latest fight with alcohol and drug use is why I am concerned,” Nwoko said. “She needs to complete her rehab program, or I worry about her life and well-being. Now she has relocated to where she will be able to have unlimited access to drugs.”
He dismissed claims of violence, asserting, “I have other wives, and none of them would ever accuse me of being violent. It is Regina who is violent here, slapping and punching three staff over the last 48 hours and smashing up property, including cars and windows, for no good reason.”
Nwoko said he had offered Regina the choice of rehabilitating in Nigeria or overseas, preferably in Jordan, where she would have minimal access to drugs.
He also blamed her friends, including Sammy West, her brother, for aggrandizing the problem. “While I was taking Moon to hospital, there was chaos at home which was masterminded by Sammy, Regina’s principal drug pusher,” he claimed.
His declaration followed after a viral social media video on Saturday, October 18, 2025, when Regina Daniels was apparently infuriated and made such comments as, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The video, in which tension and shouting were witnessed in the couple’s home, had worldwide media questioning the status of their marriage.
Taking to Twitter, Regina’s brother Sammy West accused Nwoko of assault, posting on Instagram that he would “fight with his blood” any man who beats up a woman and urging the senator to leave her alone.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko’s union has always been in the spotlight because they have a close to 40 years age difference since she was 19 and he was 59 when they tied the knot and also because the senator is said to be married to several wives of which Regina is the youngest.
