Veteran actress Joke Silva is mourning the death of her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva, who passed away at age 73.
The actress, married to legendary actor Olu Jacobs, announced the loss on Instagram with a touching tribute to her brother.
“With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will, we announce the call to glory of my dear brother John Olabiyi Silva, long John Silva.
Bros B… Uncle B… My easy-going, lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22, 1953 – August 29, 2025,” she wrote.
Silva described her brother as an “easy-going” man and expressed her prayers for his peaceful rest.
Following the announcement, Nollywood colleagues, friends, and fans have been sending messages of comfort and condolences to Silva and her family during this difficult time.
