Police Invite Ex-Governor El-Rufai, ADC Leaders for Questioning

Kaduna State Police have summoned former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and seven African Democratic Congress (ADC) leaders for questioning over allegations including criminal conspiracy, incitement, and public disturbance.

The police invitation, dated September 4, 2025, was signed by Deputy Commissioner Uzainu Abdullahi of the Criminal Investigation Department.

The ADC state chairman has been instructed to bring the individuals to the State CID on September 8, 2025.

Others summoned include Bashir Sa’idu, Jafaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed (known as “30”), Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita, and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini (also called “Mikiya”).

The investigation covers charges of criminal conspiracy, inciting public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous harm, according to the police letter.

“This Department is currently investigating the above-mentioned case involving the following members of your party.

You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on 8th September, 2025,” the letter stated.

The summons follows complaints filed against the individuals with the police department.
