Sean “Diddy” Combs is now facing additional charges of sexual abuse and racketeering, following an amended indictment in his ongoing criminal case. These updated allegations, which were filed Thursday in the Southern District of New York, are part of the broader charges against the music mogul. Combs had already been charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution after his arrest in September 2024.
The new indictment accuses Combs of victimizing three women, alleging he was running a sex trafficking operation with the help of his associates. The document claims that Combs used his influence and status in the music industry to manipulate and intimidate women into his sphere, often luring them under the guise of romantic relationships.
In the initial indictment, federal prosecutors painted a broader picture of Combs’ alleged criminal enterprise, accusing him of using his powerful business empire to engage in various illegal activities. This included kidnapping, arson, violence, forced labor, and sex trafficking.
The revised indictment expands on these charges, claiming that Combs and his associates used threats, coercion, and force to make the victims take part in commercial sex acts. The victims were allegedly offered compensation in the form of money, career opportunities, and assistance with housing expenses.
Combs, who is currently in custody at the Special Housing Unit of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, continues to deny all the allegations against him. His trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025.
