A young man in Rivers State has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his father after his cult group ordered him to carry out the attack.
The incident came to light when a video surfaced on social media showing the suspect being held by several people to prevent his escape.
In the footage, witnesses can be heard explaining in local language that “he carried a knife and cut his father.”
During questioning, the young man admitted to being a member of the Vikings cult group.
He claimed the organization had instructed him to kill his father and bring back his head as part of what appears to be a ritual or initiation requirement.
