TikToker Geh Geh Claims Wizkid Uses DJ Tunez to Test Collaborations and Protect His Brand

A Nigerian TikTok influencer has set social media ablaze after claiming to unveil Wizkid‘s clever strategy for staying on top of the Afrobeats game. Geh Geh, in a video that’s now making rounds on X (formerly Twitter), shared what he believes is the Grammy winner’s behind-the-scenes approach to working with trending artists. According to the influencer, Wizkid doesn’t rush into direct collaborations with buzzing new acts. Instead, he takes a calculated route through his longtime associate, DJ Tunez. “If any artist dey trend and everybody dey rush to feature am, Wizkid no go feature the artist direct. Him go reach out to DJ Tunez, and na Tunez go feature Wizkid and the trending artist together. So if the song no blow, people go talk say no be Wizkid song, na DJ Tunez song. But if e blow, the glory go return to Wizkid,” Geh Geh explained. The claim has divided opinions online. Some fans are calling it brilliant business strategy, praising Wizkid for protecting his brand while still testing the waters with emerging talent. Others think it’s reading too much into standard industry collaborations, arguing that Wizkid’s success comes down to pure talent and hard work.
