A teenager, Adesogo Promise, was arraigned at an Iwaro Oka Magistrate Court for allegedly attacking a corps member, Akomolafe Dickson, and interfering with school activities at St. Patrick’s College, Iwaro-Oka, Ondo State. The prosecution, represented by Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel, explained that the defendant physically attacked Akomolafe, inflicting several blows on him.
Other than the assault charge, Adesogo was also charged with obstructing a police officer, Constable Afolabi Samuel, who was effecting an arrest in line of duty on behalf of the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters, Iwaro Oka Akoko.
During the hearing in court, Adesogo, in the absence of legal representation, entered a not guilty plea to the charges. Magistrate B. I. Ikusika remanded him and adjourned the case to April 16, 2025, for continuation.
