President Bola Tinubu has congratulated ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on winning the 2025 Sunhak Peace Founders’ Award, praising his commitment to peace and democracy.
In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu paid encomium to Jonathan’s continued advocacy for peace and nation-building, and lauded that his international accolade is merited.
The president acknowledged Jonathan’s unprecedented acceptance of the 2015 election result and peaceful transition of power, which improved the democratic image of Nigeria.
Attaining the feat, Tinubu also commended the Sunhak Peace Prize Committee for the recognition of individuals committed to bettering the world.
