After a heated exchange with Toke Makinwa, Teebillz has issued a public apology for his comments about her lack of understanding of his family dynamics. The back-and-forth started when Toke Makinwa publicly criticized 2Baba over his divorce announcement with Annie Idibia while she was in rehab. This sparked a war of words between the two, with Teebillz weighing in on the situation.
However, during a live session on Instagram with popular OAP Daddy Freeze, as shared by Instablog9ja, Teebillz made it clear that he regretted his remarks. He explained that his statements were driven by Toke’s initial outburst about feeling disappointed and ashamed of 2Baba’s decision to announce the separation publicly.
Teebillz argued that family issues should be kept private, suggesting that separation can sometimes be necessary for healing and to allow both parties to rebuild their relationship. He went on to apologize to Toke, clarifying that his comments were not meant to attack her personally.
“I would like to publicly apologize to Toke. I think my message was misconstrued because, at the end of the day, we are all family. You see, this feminist thing is getting out of hand.
“My question is, where was she all this while in Annie’s life? You see these reality shows [Young Famous and African], they just want to prey on people’s flaws to make content. Nobody holy pass. When I saw this thing, all I did was pray for this couple because, at the end of the day, who’s going to help who?
“This separation is a blessing for Annie and 2Baba to fix themselves. Who knows whether they are coming back together tomorrow? Who are we to choose sides?”
Teebillz also shared his perspective on his own divorce from Tiwa Savage, emphasizing that outsiders shouldn’t judge others based on personal struggles. He acknowledged the difficulty of dealing with public opinions about family matters, stating, “You can’t judge anyhow how they express themselves with something they’ve bottled for years. You can’t come out to say ‘I am ashamed for you.’ When it comes to family feuds, no one wins because I went through the same thing. I gave everything to Tiwa Savage, but the problem we had was the entertainment world.”
Reflecting on his relationship with Tiwa, Teebillz said, “You have to give credit to the women. Every time wey I dey fight for Tiwa, people think I am mad; that’s the mother of my child. When I see my child doing well, I am happy and that’s because of Tiwa.”
