Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has addressed recent speculation linking him with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, making it clear that he is committed to staying at the Spanish club. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward, who has two years left on his current contract, was reportedly a target for Saudi Pro League clubs willing to offer Real Madrid a staggering £200 million—the same record-breaking fee PSG paid for Neymar in 2017.
However, speaking ahead of the highly anticipated Madrid derby in the Champions League, Vinicius shut down the rumors, expressing his desire to extend his stay at the club.
“I am very calm because my contract lasts until 2027, and I hope to renew my contract as soon as possible because I am happy here,” he said.
“I am living my dream, playing with the best players in the world, the best coach, the best president, and the best fans.
Everyone here loves me so much. I couldn’t be in a better place. My childhood dream was to make it here, and now that I have, I am writing my story.”
