Nearly two years after the tragic death of his former artist Mohbad, Nigerian singer Naira Marley has announced he’s finally prepared to share his side of the story.
The music industry was left reeling when Mohbad died in September 2023.
In the aftermath, speculation swirled around Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and their record label Marlian Music, with many pointing fingers and countless theories spreading across social media.
Having been cleared of allegations, Naira Marley took to social media to reveal he would address the controversy publicly for the first time.
He directed fans to his official Marlian Music YouTube channel at 8 p.m., where he plans to tell his version of events.
“Meet me on YouTube @8pm. It’s time to tell my side of the story… via Marlian Music Channel,” he posted.
The announcement has sparked divided reactions online.
Critics have questioned his choice to use YouTube as the platform, with some suggesting he’s trying to benefit from the controversy.
Others remain doubtful that his explanation will change their opinions about his role in the situation.
